Athenaeum Theatre 2 is a flexible studio-style performance space measuring approximately 19m x 12m, with a standard 9.2m x 3.6m stage that can be extended to 4.8m deep.
The venue accommodates up to 300 patrons across a permanent nine-tier seating bank and flexible floor seating.
A fixed lighting grid supports the house lighting rig, controlled by an ETC Element 250 console with 36 x 2.4kW dimmers. 3 x three-phase power outlets which must be shared between dimmer racks and power distros.
The venue’s sound system is operated from an Allen & Heath QU-16 digital console and features RCF FOH speakers, subwoofers and 3 x foldback monitors.
The flexible configuration and intimate scale make Theatre 2 particularly well suited to plays, musicals, comedy, cabaret and other small-to-medium-scale productions.
